Dec.27/06 - YA UPDATE

Happy Boxing Day?

     Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas, Tamara, the kids and I sure did. You shoulda seen em rippin that gift wrapping to shreds,lol. 

     Our New Years Party is upon us, and I need to confirm dinner and bowling reservations. So email me today to book your spot or you may be disappointed. Here is what the Rock is cookin...

We start at the Coast Bastion Inn  with a semi-formal dinner (dress accordingly) at 6:00 PM (see below for Menu selection), after pictures its off to Karina's house for a quick wardrobe change and some fun & games. Next we hit up Splitsville for 10-pin Glow in the Dark Bowling. After that, we roll over to my crib for some snacks and drinks including a chocolate fondue. Then its time to countdown the last few seconds of 2007. Finally, we will party like its 1999, with all sorts of games and activities, for example:

Texas Hold 'Em, 4 on a Couch, Mafia, Mad Gab, 2 truths and a lie (jk), Cranium, Catch Phrase, Scattergories, Settlers of Catan, big screen video games like HANG TIME, Fuzion Frenzy & DDR and maybe even a game of 7-up. We plan on having a great time hanging out and having lots of fun, you do not wanna miss this DRY NEW YEARS CELEBRATION. It will be sin free and totally full of holy fun-ness!

 

     Depending on what you order at the Coast, the evening will run about $25 for dinner and $10 for 2 games of bowling & shoe rentals. Plus we will need everyone to pitch in $5 for midnight snacks(chocolate fondue etc). So save ur coin and pay me ASAP, perhaps this Friday, see below. Either way please have the courtesy of emailing me and telling me whether you are coming or not, thanks much!

 

     There is a Christian Coffee House (Daniels Den) taking place this Friday night 8:30 PM at the MGM RESTAURANT, it is free but I will be ordering either a dessert or dinner. You are welcome to join us to hear some great music and have a good ol time.

This year, they are featuring their regular menu, with a wide variety of items to choose from...steak and seafood entrees to more casual meals. In addition, they are offering 2 appetizer and 3 entree specials. They are...

Dec.20/06 - YA UPDATE

Good eveing gang:

          Well well, what an amazing weekend man...woo hoo! It all started Sat. PM with the Oasis Hockey Team playing their hearts out. Sun we enjoyed church and a nice curry potluck meal thanks to Milky and Bon Voyage to my favourite Japanese Brotha from a different Motha(more on this coo cat lata). Sun night was time to bust out my skating skills at the ANNUAL OASIS CHURCH SK8. It was a blast seeing people having fun and falling up?!? Monday Night @ the Manafest Concert was fo sho the place to be in D-town! The concert was over the top, you shoulda seen Robbo in the mosh during Fridays Cry...i know what ur thinking...."I DIDN'T KNOOOOOOW, THAT ROBB WAS A HARDCORE MOSHER" Well I guess you will hafta check out the pics and vids on my MEDIA page soon for all the 411. And to top it all off, we play some Texas Hold 'EM with Manafest. Later that evening Naoaki wowed the crowd with a spectacular hand. He was droppin some H-core hammers on us, with his straight flush. Oh don't worry, we caught it on video as well (coming soon to a website near you).

 

     BS on Wed. was awesome as well, we had our Christmas Potluck Dinner. Thanks so much for all u peeps for bringing all the good food,snacks and drinks. After Dinner, we did our Gift Exchange,where Stu ended up with some of the most beautiful candles I have ever seen. We finished off the night with some 4 on a Couch, where the girls dominated the boyz.(They musta been cheatin...) Tonight, if you didn't know already, there is NO BS until the New Year. We are taking a break to celebrate the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ!

 

     Speaking of New Years, I really need to hear from you right away about our Party. I need to make dinner and other activity reservations before everything is booked. So don't procrastinate...participate. If there are not enough people committed to coming we will scrap the plans by this weekend. Our night will be similar to what we did last year, with a fancy dinner, glow in the dark bowling, etc. Ask for details. So please email me by tomorrow or we may end up cancelling the whole thing.

 

     Drop in Floor Hockey @ Woodlands is postponed till TUE. Jan 9. Come check it out, we had some crazy fans watching last time, so come and cheer us on and watch me beat Gareth like a rented mule.

Dec. 11/06 - YA UPDATE

Good day!

     Hope ur weekend went well, we had a fun one. We spent the weekend up in Courtenay/Campbell River with Pastor Craig. It was good to visit with an old friend and enjoy God's beauty on this great Island. We even braved the cold wind and checked out Discovery Pier in CR, I felt like God rewarded us with a nice view of a huge Sea Lion swimming by.

 

BS went very well, it was a bit less formal than usual, but very beneficial. We all read Col. 3, while listening to some majestic Worship music. Afterwards, I led a study on the chapter with many jumping in with good comments and deep thoughts (not with Jack Handy though...)

 

++ NEWSFLASH ++ NEW TIME ::: BS continues this Wed. 6:00 PM @ my place, we'll be having a Gift Exchange (bring a wrapped gift worth at least $4.99 before tax ) and a Potluck Dinner. Please be on time as we wanna eat ASAP, plus I gotta feed my kiddies and get em to bed for school. We need everybody to bring their fair share of food to share. Please email me today and lemme know what you can bring. Don't be chince and come with a bottle of pop and a doz of buns...So far for food we have the following:

Drop in Floor Hockey @ Woodland is on this TUE. 9 bells, its the 2nd last one before the Christmas Break. Amanda is still in retirement but I'm hoping she comes out, who knows maybe she will pull an MJ and try baseball... 

 

We are heading down to Cowichan Camp this weekend, Saturday DEC. 16th to Settle Catan. We will likely meet in Duncan for a fast food dinner, stay tuned. On the Sunday, there will be a Potluck after the service (be sure to bring some food along to share) and in the evening a FAMILY SK8 @ Lake Cowichan Arena (bring ur sk8s). Then a concert you kinda don't wanna miss, me and Josiah are gonna be bouncin and movin. Its Manafest on his nation-wide tour. Dec. 4 - YA UPDATE

Great morning!

     Hey y'all, well it looks like this storm is over, did you praise Him thru it? What an eventful week it was eh, I mean wow, its not even winter yet. Hope you and yours remained warm and dry, and didn't need to be towed out of ur drive way!

 

BS was quite a bit different than usual, to say the least. With all the snow we weren't all able to make it, except for the guys with tanned necks and 4x4 Trucks (Say no to DODGE, haha, sorry Hailey,jk enter) So for those brave souls that made it, it was time for some winter fun. We did some hardcore 4x4ing @ Woodgrove and Dover, you shoulda seen me bumpin da tunes and doin some donuts. We had a blast with Robbo's Quad, he almost did a 360 turn with it too, haha!

 

BS continues this Wed. 7:30 PM @ my place, I am not sure what we will do WED. as we do not have a speaker lined up. I will likely jump in and do a devotion, but I am thinking JC wants to do a lil sumpin different. So come prepared for a lil change. Perhaps we will continue on with what God started the other week, like prayer/worship/sharing. We need somebody to snack it up...how  about you? This is the last regular BS of the year, as the following Wed. we'll be having a Gift Exchange and some sort of Potluck. Email me some ideas yo. Would you like to do a Dessert Potluck or a full meal deal Potluck? I need to know ASAP so drop me a line aight!

We are planning on heading down to Camp the weekend of Friday DEC. 15th for a Youth Christmas Event. On the Sunday, there will be a Potluck after the service and in the evening a FAMILY SK8 @ Lake Cowichan Arena. Then a concert you really don't wanna miss, we are gonna be bouncin and movin.
