Dec. 11/06 - YA UPDATE

Good day!

     Hope ur weekend went well, we had a fun one. We spent the weekend up in Courtenay/Campbell River with Pastor Craig. It was good to visit with an old friend and enjoy God's beauty on this great Island. We even braved the cold wind and checked out Discovery Pier in CR, I felt like God rewarded us with a nice view of a huge Sea Lion swimming by.

 

BS went very well, it was a bit less formal than usual, but very beneficial. We all read Col. 3, while listening to some majestic Worship music. Afterwards, I led a study on the chapter with many jumping in with good comments and deep thoughts (not with Jack Handy though...)

 

++ NEWSFLASH ++ NEW TIME ::: BS continues this Wed. 6:00 PM @ my place, we'll be having a Gift Exchange (bring a wrapped gift worth at least $4.99 before tax ) and a Potluck Dinner. Please be on time as we wanna eat ASAP, plus I gotta feed my kiddies and get em to bed for school. We need everybody to bring their fair share of food to share. Please email me today and lemme know what you can bring. Don't be chince and come with a bottle of pop and a doz of buns...So far for food we have the following:

Drop in Floor Hockey @ Woodland is on this TUE. 9 bells, its the 2nd last one before the Christmas Break. Amanda is still in retirement but I'm hoping she comes out, who knows maybe she will pull an MJ and try baseball... 

 

We are heading down to Cowichan Camp this weekend, Saturday DEC. 16th to Settle Catan. We will likely meet in Duncan for a fast food dinner, stay tuned. On the Sunday, there will be a Potluck after the service (be sure to bring some food along to share) and in the evening a FAMILY SK8 @ Lake Cowichan Arena (bring ur sk8s). Then a concert you kinda don't wanna miss, me and Josiah are gonna be bouncin and movin. Its Manafest on his nation-wide tour. WORD TO THE WISE

Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn't a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing. You're at least decent to your own children.
